Please read first-hand accounts of how New Perspective Foundation has been able to help others.

My dad was in a single car accident in Montgomery, AL and he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Since then, we’ve spent 11 days in an ICU in Montgomery, three months at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta and three months at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital SCI Center in Tampa.  I’ve chosen to step away from my career in order to stay by my father’s side. Thank you to NPF for the financial assistance required to travel back and forth from the various hospitals to our home in Pensacola. I am extremely grateful I learned about NPF and appreciate all they do for SCI families in need. This foundation has been a huge blessing! They call to check-in on us and always offer great first-hand advice. Our family cannot thank you enough!

A huge THANK YOU to New Perspective Foundation for helping me stay with my brother through the hospital and rehab 8 hours away. He and I are 8 years apart. We annoyed each other so much as kids, but as we got older, we became best buds. When he had his accident, I was ready to quit my life and be there for him 100% of the time, but that was not possible. When they had to transfer him to a rehab facility 8 hours away, we both had a melt down. New Perspective Foundation helped both my family and I travel back and forth for almost 4 months while he was in rehabilitation. We were losing days upon days of work and pay, and that was the least of our worries given the situation, but it still was a concern. NPF helped make sure we could keep up with helping  my brother through rehab and not worry about surmounting expenses so that we could focus on his recovery. You cannot put a price on peace of mind when your entire world has fallen apart. NPF provided the support we needed to get us through the toughest time of our lives. Thank you to all who made this possible!

Thank you to New Perspective Foundation! Without your kindness, I really don't know how we could have made it! You and your staff have been amazing in helping us with our travels to and from the Shepherd Center. The Lord will bless y'all for the help your company does for those in need. The financial stress of traveling is one less thing we had to deal with and it would not have been possible without your generosity. We are forever grateful!

Thank you so much for the generous gift from New Perspective Foundation. It’s hard to express in words how painful this experience has been for our family, especially for myself living so far away. Your support of my travel has allowed me to be closer to my mom in her greatest time of need, and I am forever grateful for that gift. Keep doing this wonderful work because it is such a great thing.

Our son sustained a C6/C7 neck injury from a shallow water diving accident in Tampa. After a weeklong stay at TGH, we transferred him to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta for three months of inpatient and outpatient therapy. It was generous of Shepherd to house us for the first 30-days of the stay, but after that we needed to find another place to live. New Perspective Foundation was able to help us with our apartment rent so that my wife and I could both stay close to Shepherd and our son while he continued his recovery. Not only that, but they were generous enough to help us travel back and forth to Tampa so we could keep our jobs while also being with our son in Atlanta. We cannot thank you enough, New Perspective Foundation, for all that you have done for our family during this most difficult time.

There are not enough words to express the appreciation and gratitude that you have bestowed on our family in allowing us to stay at the Residence Inn. You made it possible for us to be able to stay close to Jake and care for him in a comfortable setting. He is now on his third month of therapy and hopefully will be placed in the day program soon. Due to the muscle flap surgery, he is still in a good deal of discomfort, but still presses on with PT, OT and whatever else is necessary for his well-being. God bless you all!

My husband was involved in an accident and he sustained a C-6 spinal cord fracture. He was accepted into Shepherds hospital rehab in Atlanta, GA, but we live near Nashville, TN, which made the drive down there about 5 hours one way.  I went down there and stayed for several days at a time, but when school started back up and the bills kept coming in, I had no choice but to make the drive back and forth between the kids and work and then down there to be with him. Sometimes I made the trip back and forth two to three times a week. With neither of us working, the  expenses added up very quickly. Cole’s case worker put me in touch with New Perspective Foundation. It was a blessing! They were very quick to provide me the information I needed and how the organization worked and operated.  When I was told they would be happy to help cover travel expenses so I would have one less thing to worry about, I was so grateful! New Perspective Foundation is amazing for helping take  such a burden off of us, and helped every time I had a question or needed anything. I cant thank them enough for  helping my family out! Thank you and may God bless you!

On February 9th, I was in a car accident and nobody found me or knew I was gone for about 12 hours. I was eventually sent to Shepherd Spine Center in Atlanta Georgia. It was pretty far from my family in Virginia to come see me regularly. I have a 22 year old son, an 18 year old son, and a 14 year old daughter. My youngest son and daughter are still in school, so that also made it hard for them to come visit me. My wife and children were able to come visit me and see me thanks to New Perspective Foundation. I am on a fixed income and without the help of this organization, they could not come visit me regularly. I'm so grateful for their generosity and from the bottom of my heart, I’d like to say thank you and God bless New Perspective Foundation!
